...Ok I came across a throttle body from a 4.0.., but it s the wrong year to fit my 97..the map is in a different place.....My question is whit if I just drilled a hole in the same place of the one that is on my Jeep..and put the map back in the same place....would it hurt anything?? :stick: ...thanks for the help....

I suggest getting the correct TB in the first place. It is a lot more involved then just drilling a hole.

Had the same thing happen to me. I got one for (what I thought was) a good price off ebay and turns out the guy had a typo in the description and it was the wrong year (was pre95) So I thought about just drilling a hole for the MAP sensor but turns out that wasnt going to be an easy task. So I said screw ebay and went local.. got one at a junk yard for 25 bucks. Installing it tomorrow.

Well....I called all the junk yards here..and they all want like $65+...If I could find one for $25 I would buy it....I think that I will sell this one and just get another one....cv

Just wanted to follow up my previous post with the results of the Throttle body swap.
Definitely an improvement. Performance took a hit when I swapped to bigger tires and I feel like I've gotten a lot of the lost power back again. Very impressed with the gains from such a cheap and easy upgrade. Oh and I also have a TB spacer.

Do you have to get a new gasket for this swap or do you reuse the old one?

new one
i got two new gaskets from the spacer I bought and used them.

Thanks, will be doing the same swap soon. No spacer though.
