thats what I was afraid of. I have $7300 into it and I did all the work my self and got the motor for only $650. and my shop would have charged $3000 for the paint job because it was a color change but I'm not figuring the labor in because I did it my self, labor of love I guess. I just bought the jeep in march for $4500 and put $2800 into it and about 100 hours labor. I just went threw this a year a go with a 66 ford bronco that I restored. You would think I would learn someday.

I couldn't get rid of one in my area for $5000, best offer was $4200. It had more aftermarket parts, a rebuilt engine and transmision. So i kept it and dumped more money into it and now I couldn't get anything near what I got into it, its kinda my way of never having to get rid of it.

I think that's how the market is here too.

Mind if I ask why you want to sell it after fixing it up?

It's a sickness of mine. I do it with almost every thing I own. with being in auto body I can take something that looks rough and buy it cheap and fix it up. I think I get more enjoyment out of fixing something up then I do using it. I think is kind of like a artist doesn't keep his own work, as cheese ball as it sounds. The bad part is I like to do things right, I never think I will sell it so when i do something I replace allot of stuff that could be left alone which real adds up in the end.
last fall I bought a snowmobile for $700 put a another $1000 into it to make it the way I wanted it drove it 1/2 mile hit a rock and tore off the trailing arm fixed the arm and sold it for $1200 not bad $700 for 1/2 mile not to mention all the nights after work fixing it up and the 4 trips to the eye doctor for the metal in my eye from drilling out a rivet. :asshat:
I also made the jeep to nice I like it before when it was ugly, when I could drive threw brush and not care. I put to much work it to it to deprecate it like that.
