Title: 4.0L intake
Post by: dexetr30 on July 24, 2007, 07:03:30 PM
Is anyone running the 4.0L intake box and tube? If so, what's your opinion on its performance with the 2.5? I just picked one up from ebay and wanted to get some input.  ;)

I'm runnin a Rubi 4.0L tube with a conical K&N, works real well to get the intake to the cooler side of the engine bay.

Good to hear. Right now I'm running the craptastic set up that you see in the picture and I don't like it.

if you switch the location of the filter, won't it effect the brake booster set up?

No, you can run the filter from anywhere.  Some even run it into the cab to keep water out, sounds like a turbo on the trail.

I've wandered about doing this.  I am running a Rocket parts intake now but think the trails I run get a little too dust for an open element filter.  The 4.0 intake looks like it is much less restrictive

Wow! That 2.5L looks so much easier to work on and it looks nicer than my 2.4L.
