Title: Tailgate Install Question
Post by: chrisfranklin on August 09, 2007, 05:24:36 PM
Have a used tail-gate I am swapping in for the current one dented by the previous owner.  Had a key made for the replacement, etc.

So you have the third brake-light above the spare tire.  The wiring for this runs through the tailgate and towards the inside right rear corner of the interior apparently.  I am going to have to run the wiring through the replacement tailgate, I believe.  I didn't notice a connection in the wiring anywhere or whether I am going to somehow be able to feed the wiring through the replacement tailgate.  Any of you guys done this before or maybe can consult an in-depth manual with some answers for doing this on  YJs ?   This is probably a ton more simple than I am making it out to be.

I have found my own answer to this question -- new tailgate is installed, light working, spare replaced.  Its a brand new YJ
