Wow, this is insane. :yikes: They took everything that made rockcrawling(slow technical driving) and made it into a side by side by side race. I'm not sure if I like it. There's nothing elegant about it anymore. Thought, I'm sure more people will watch it if there assured a roll over. It's kinda like what happened to Monster trucks.

I watched about half of the first video and I stopped it. I don't like. Their is no method to the madness with the exception of "floor it and get there first. I like crawling... not flying like they're doing. Time trials are much more exciting to watch, imo.

i think i would like it if it had some rythem to it. they need to only have two at a time and make more commom course lay outs instead of letting them fight over the same spots. if they changed it around a little i think i would like it.

Its for sure a different twist on rock crawling. Its funny how the terrain looks like it throws racing decision-making haywire.
You get out front a good ways so you want to preserve your lead -- stay fast but don't do anything reckless. Still out front, you come back to that steep climb at the turnaround and -- so you make sure you don't break your truck and jeopardize your lead -- you approach it slowly. Of course, this action is exactly the opposite of what put you in front the first time. You slide and scuff back down and the guys behind you are able to catch up.

That pretty dumb. It would get pretty expensive trashing those nice rigs all the time. I didn't think that the obstacles were that impressive, just large hillls. I would much rather see tougher obstacles and slower speed.

im more of a crawling pick your route offroader than go as fast as you can.. the faster you go the more you break and the more you rip up getting environmentalists pissed off and closing more trails.
