Title: oil pan
Post by: lanulos89 on August 30, 2007, 08:27:26 PM
so after watching my oilpan deteriorate for two years, its finally started to leak hardcore all over my driveway  :brick:

so instead of throwing a stock oil pan on there, anyone know of a heavy duty tj 2.5l oil pan??????  if no then i guess ill just buy an oil pan skid, bc im not putting a new oil pan on my jeep nd having it get beat up like mine is now.

thanks in advanced

I actually have a spare with a rubber gasket. I got it in case I bash the pan on a rock. I haven't in 3 yrs. Its stock and used, but non-damaged. The biggest expense was the rubber gasket.

I don't think they make one.  you could either get a universal skid like the Turbo City and have it welded to the pan.  (They use adhesive which doesn't work that well.  Or else have a fabricator add some metal skids to it.

I made a skid similar to Nth Degree Mobility, without the front mounting points.  Attached only at the bellhousing to the two bottom bolts, and a small angled skid to the rear to keep from getting hung up when backing up.
