The Dodge 2.2/2.5L is not the same as the AMC 2.5L (Dodge Magnum 2.5L) that is used in the Jeep. Apples and oranges.
-
It looks like the turbo and manifold they used on the K cars/lebarons and whatnot. Front wheel drives. It won't work. The turbo would work but you'd have to fabricate the rest of the setup yourself.

okay, okay. :brick: just trying to help.

I don't need no stinkin' turbo...
:naughty:

if the Dakota 2.5 is different why do you use a Dakota 2.5 bell housing for a ax15 conversion??? :puzzled: :puzzled:

DODGE not Dakota. The 2.2L/2.5L Dodge was used in cars. It is not the same as engine as the Jeep or Dodge Magnum (used in the Dakota). The 2.2L was used in many Dodge K-Cars. The Dodge 2.5L Turbo was used in the Spirit and Daytona.

if you want to know all the differences (which really don't to seem much jeffy) check out
www.morris.accesszone.com for a complete listing off the diffrences. as well as how to turbo charge the dakota 2.5 using parts from the 2.2/2.5 car motors. now is the dakota 2.5 the same as the jeep?
and the 2.5 turbo was in the plymouth acclaim the caravan and the omni as well.

16-valve DOHC is a Dodge engine.
The earlier Dakota's used the Dodge 2.5L till 1996. This is the K-Car engine. The Dakota used the Jeep AMC 2.5L, Dodge call it the '2.5L Magnum' from 1997-2002. This is the engine that used the AX-15.
