Title: Ford 24lb injectors
Post by: rcherb on September 14, 2007, 01:52:52 PM
Will these work in a 2000 2.5l or is it just going to cause problems?  I got them for free out of a 2001 ford 4.0l explorer.

You might want to check out all of the treads on the Ford Yellow 19# injectors.  I revived one older thread yesterday.

I was reading them yesterday, I was just wondering if the 24lb injectors would work as I have received a set of them for free

Physically they will work but unless you're running forced induction, you'll probably be running rich.  Although it does help with the top end. ie., >4000rpm.  Are they Design II's or III's?

Well, I might be changing my answer.  Although its difficult getting clear cut answers anywhere.  I have to cross reference though several sources not all of them are confirmed. I will hopefully have a writeup on fuel injectors in a few days if everything goes well.
