Title: Dunlop Mud Rovers tread life???
Post by: BOOGIE444 on November 12, 2007, 03:05:16 PM
I am still not 100% sure which tire brand I am going with, I have a good deal on a set of mud rover's.  Do they last very well?  I would like to get about 30-40k out of a mud tire, my old kumho's MT's did very well for tread wear but there alot more expensive now.

Anyone have any experience with the mud rovers???

Good friend of mine runs the on his 'burban in the 35" flavor. Wears well for a MT. There is definitely worse out there.

I am on set #2... awesome tire for the price (Sam's Club).

First set were 30x9.5x15 ~ I got at least 25k and there was ~50% tread left... sold them with the wheels when I went to 35's.

I have 35x12.5x15 now - they seem a little softer than the 30's were - but I only have a few thou on 'em now. A buddy had 35's on his Dodge Ram and thought they were soft and did not last as long as he hoped... He did mostly street with a heavier rig ~ so go figure.

I am 100% satisifed with mine!

Forgot to mention - they are a light weight tire which is a great benefit to our 4bangers.

(Don't take that the wrong way ~ I have had zero issues.)
