Title: Motor Mounts
Post by: 95 Lowbuck on November 19, 2007, 06:44:49 PM
So I got cheep and bought some motor mounts from
a local auto parts store. Bad idea!
I think they have more plastic in the mount material than rubber.
The Jeep vibrates bad at idle, but smoothes out at speed.
Went to my local Jeep dealer and bought all 3, they had 2 but
the third one was on back order. That was a month ago.
Does anyone else make a quality, (OEM spec), motor mount ?

Are the ones you got at the parts store polyeurathane?   A lot of the aftermarket stuff is.  Stronger, but you do get a lot more vibration.

If you want some good strong mounts, these are the ones I run on my 94.

No, they were sold as stock replacement mounts.
They were not made in the U.S.A. and plastic filler
is cheeper than rubber.
Just too stiff for my tastes.
Thanks for the info.

Buy from here, they're cheap too!
