Title: Jeep oem parts number website ?
Post by: scarabchuck on December 03, 2007, 05:16:30 PM
i am looking for the part numbers for all the serpentine belt adjustment hardware (mounted on pwr steering pump) mine is all rusted up and i broke the adjuster bolt. So before i can replace my belt i need the hardware.

Any ideas where i can find the numbers (other than the dealer) and order them ?

They don't list those type of things on the web.  You're going to have to get a microfish or go to a dealer to get the part number.  In which case they may or may not have it.

Depends on where you look ;)
http://greatlakesxj.com/tech.html  has factory part catalogs for download.

These are all labeled XJ parts catalogs, but if you open up the pdf's you will find that they also cover other models.

Hmm, those FSM's are FSM's.  They looks like AllData downloads.  Better then a CHilton or Hayes for a Service manual at least.

Also, Chrysler redid their part numbers sometime in the 2000's so if they have numbers, they might not be correct so you'll want to double check them.

Although, even if you have a parts number, and the belt adjuster hardware is most likely going to be a Dealer only part, the desk jockey will still have to look up the part and have you point it out on the screen.  I don't know why they do that.

Same thing was wrong with mine, I ended up snapping it in half. I wasn't going to spend a lot of money to buy just a bolt. I ended up getting a piece of long allthread at Lowes, welding a nut on the top, and calling it a day. It works really well.
