Title: Heater won't shut off.
Post by: dexetr30 on January 08, 2008, 05:07:47 PM
I went to turn the heat from the floor position to off and it just kept blowing. Lately every once in a while I've heard a hissing sound coming from behind the heater controls. Does anyone have any advice on what to look for?

That's what I was thinking when I heard the hiss. I won't be able to get to it until the weekend. Hopefully it's an easy fix. I don't feel like fiddling with things to much right now.

it is only 8 screws  to get to the heater controls ( I've done my head unit too many times to remember) after that it is just playing with it maybe something is disconnected? anyway good luck with it. and as long as you get heat in the winter it is not that bad.

Found the problem. The metal insert on the back of the knob broke. I'm going to have to go to the u-pull it this weekend and see if I can find a knob.
