has anybody done this recall?
do you think its a good idea to fixed?
-
What is it?
-
according to the dealer they have to reprogram the powertrain module.
-
Have you actually received a notice or did you just hear about it someplace? From the looks of it, it's very specific.
Also, I would think 1996, 1997 and even 1998's might be exempt now, since the extended Fed warranty should be expired.

I would take it... It's not going to cost you a dime, right? What can you loose?

I don't get why you're worried unless you've done other things to bypass stuff.

every thing is stock. i was just wandering if it will mess around with the oxygen sensors. the dealer will take care of the cat but not sensors

If everything is stock then why do you think it will be bad? It's not going to make your emissions worse. And unless your O2's are on the way out to begin with, it's probably not going to do anything. The NHTSA enforces safety and emission regulations on the Auto Industry. Chrysler isn't doing the recall because it wants to.

I got the letter last summer and took it over and had it done...They just had to reprogram something..They really didn't have a direct answer for me which was odd...but no problems since
