I'm suprised that they are getting away with using an image of an actual goodyear MTR to advertise their non existant retread.

Airing the tires down will void any warranty, however, JP Magazine tested our 31x10.50R15 aired down without any problem and many of our customers do this without any problems. The tires will perform like a new tire.

I never cared much for rethreads and since they are not that cheap why bother with tires that can seperate the thread, have a tendency to be out of round. I would not trust my wive's or my life on them, running a recap at low pressure could not be good for it, which is why it voids their waranty. You can buy bf goodrich at's for about 140 a pop if you shop around seems like a better bet to me

hmmm, don't know too much about retreads, they sure are interesting though. I am curious to see what their version of a retreaded mtr will look like, This is more of a curiousity issue than a "everyone go out and buy them" kind of thing.

Do you know much about retreads or the manufacturing process? They don't tend to be out of round and they don't tend to have the tread separate from the carcass. They've come a long way from all the road gators you see along the interstate.
I've ran retreads from this company, as have many of my friends, with no problems.
I wouldn't buy the real MT/R for $70, they suck in the midwest mud. The OTR would do better around here.

Sure do we run them on our trucks. Use bandag and yes out of rounds are quite common, thread seperation is not as bad on delivery trucks since they do not travel all that much at high way speed its more a problem with our big rigs, which is why a lot of our long haul tractors and trailers use new tires and not rethreads

I didn't even think it was legal to run retreads on the front wheels of a vehicle? When I drove chemical trucks in college I know we were not allowed to use them up front. As a part time driver I had a couple tread separations - this was back in 88-92 timeframe.

You can run retread on a front axle of a veh. with a gvw of less than 10k here in Oregon. Big rigs cannot run them on the steer axle. As far as running these tires. I'd run them on my old flat bed wood truck but they wouldn't even get in the bed of my Ram or anywhere near my Jeep. I think that airing them down would compromise the integrity of the retread. That's probably why they won't warranty them if you air them down.

You can run certified rethreads on the front of medium duty trucks, we do on our delivery trucks, all our over the road trucks run new tires as steers.
