Title: Coil spacer advice needed

After intalling a D44 in the rear I have noticed that the front end sits lower than the rear. Its only about an inch lower but it is noticable.  I guess it is from having to angle the pinion upwards to get the driveshaft angle right after installing a Diry Fabworks Skid.  The Jeep has a 4" suspension lift and 1" body lift.

My question is can I or should I install a 1" coil spacer in the front to help level it out.

Well most jeep do not sit level.  From stock, they are about an inch difference.  The difference you probably see is the difference in the axle tube from going from a D35 to a D44.  If it really bugs you then why not.  Although once you weight down the jeep with people or gear, you'll probably want the extra inch in the back.

Thats a good point about the gear permenately removed the rear seat though.  However it didn't sit unlevel before, and it actually might be more than 1" thats just a guess(I'd measure it but I got one of the rear tires off right now.

I had the same problem. It seems that most lifts are designed for jeeps with hardtops, a back seat and a spare tire on the back.  I pulled my 4" springs from the front and put 6" in.  Sits level even when loaded for the trail.  Just had to adjust the control arma for proper caster and take a couple of turns on the drag link to center the steering wheel.

I'd just add a pair of stock coil isolators, just like what's on the front now.  They're a shade under 3/4" and level jeeps out nicely.

Congrats on the DirtyFab skid.  I guess you live near Columbia?

Actually I don't.  I found them on a google search and asked about shipping.  It just so happens that one of the guys was driving through Chattanooga, TN on a family vacation to FL and he threw it in the back of his Jeep!  Really nice guys and I love the skid.

Ahh, I remember them talking about delivering a skid.  Great bunch of guys.
