I've been lookin for the Ford Design III injectors, but cant seem to really find them. I found a couple but they're the 19#. I'm really lookin for the 17#. Does anyone know who sells them or if they came stock on any car.
-
Any particular reason you dont want to use the 19#? They are an upgrade from the stock Jeep injectors...
-
Well right now I dont have much done to my jeep. I would assume that if you got a better spray pattern from the Design III that it would already be compensated for any another little mods I do. And for the fact that my jeep is my DD and I rack up the miles pretty quick, the 17# should, theoretically, save me a little gas while still providing enough fuel. And can't I just up the pressure if I run into a problem with being a little lean?
If anyone has any input on this, feel free to say something. Last thing I want to do is mess somethin up with it.

keep an eye on ebay or take a trip to your local u pick junkyard and grab ya some injectors: go with the 19# explorers with the 4.0l have them along with some others or if you have to go 17# look for :
94-98 Achiva, Ciera 3.1L
93-95 Camaro, Firebird 3.4L
93-97 Cutlass Supreme 3.1L
97-98 Cutlass 3.1L
94-98 Century, Regal, Skylark 3.1L
94-96 Corsica, Beretta 3.1L
94-99 Grand Prix, Grand Am 3.1L
95-99 Lumina, Monte Carlo 3.1L
97-99 Malibu 3.1L
not sure if they will hook right up or not but its worth a shot

One of the first mods I did to my rig (I had a bunch of fuel issues, so I replace the broken fuel rail, fuel pump, and injectors because the system was filled with sludge because the previous owner never changed the fuel filter)was to put in the Ford Yellow Tops (mine are actually Bosh, but anyway!), and my fuel consumption did not increase... I guess the O2 sensor detects the air/fuel mxture and compensates accordingly. If you are going to invest in the injectors, I would go that way... Just my 2 cents.

i 2nd that thought :stupid:

Ok, cause I thought that the comp would attempt to change the settings after checking the O2, but wouldnt be able to fully change because of the bigger injectors. Well if you didnt notice anything bad with the 19#, I'll just go that route.
