Post by: dirtyjeep95 on March 25, 2008, 08:01:15 PM
around 50 mph when i partially let off the gas, i get a vibration and/or grumbling, sounds like out of the rear of the jeep, but can't really tell, rear is full and so is the transfer case, anyone have any ideas? it also doesn't make any difference 4wd or 2wd thanks, clint

I have had exhuast parts to that when they weren't hung properly or damaged?  Gears usually roar but they could vibrate I guess.  Pull the cover if everything is ok then you can move on.

Could be a pinion bearing, carrier bearings and excesive backlash growl under load, pinion bearings will growl when you let of the throttle
