I see a whole lot of 06 and 05 Rubicon rims for sale. I like the fact that they are aluminum and the look.
I want to be able to fit 33x12.5x16 A/T
I think the rims are 16x8 and not sure if these tires sizes will fit. I sure hope so.
anyone know if it will?

Common swap for other Jeeps. I too like the wheels. The stock tires are overkill though. They have a E Load rating. Put your own choice of tire on there though and you'll be fine.

any 33's will fit

Rubicon wheels are 16" diameter wheels. Only tires designed for the 16" diameter wheel will work. Also, the width is probably a 7 or 8". Many tires are designed to work in those perameters. Some 'wide' tires will need a wider rim to fit well.

I was thinking of putting 33x12.5x16 on them
I currently have 33x10.5x15 and they look too thin.

You will most likely end up with a bit of tire rub with the 12.5 width.

I remember reading somewhere, most likely this site, that a good rule of thumb is that the widest tire you can fit on a wheel should be 50% wider than the wheel. That means that on an 8" rim you can fit a 12" tire. so 12.5 should be fine. also, youmight want to check out 285/75/16 for a tire size. these tires are about an inch taller than a 33" and about an inch narrower.

Thanks,
If this is true this might be a better option.
