Ok so i went away on vacation for a week, come back start up the jeep 1997 TJ SE and the dash lights arent comin on. Gauges all work but no lights. Then i went and did a little wheelin and while i was wheelin the lights came back on. Then i drove back to school monday and the lights were on all mornin. The next day nothin, and then i had someone tell me i dont have any tail lights or brake lights, so i check every fuse in the panel, and under the hood! i cant figure it out! anyone with some help?

Could be the light intensity wheel on the dash; I had mine (YJ) act up and the symptoms were the same as you are describing. Dirty contacts is ussually the culprit.

well i started tracing wires and i found 2 broken wires under the dash, so i replaced them and all is good now, but jesus it took forever!
