i once saw a video online of a dude with a TJ stuffed with a Viper 10cyl...cant think of any lack of power with that setup...not to mention the priceless looks of people u leave behind at the stoplight when u mash it...then again there is a the whole safety issue to consider when running such a set up....oh and price too lol

i voted 4.3l chevy v6. because

1. its lighter than the 4l or any of the other options
2. its got the same bell housing pattern as all the smc so you have alot of options for tranys with granny gears without having adapters on the bell housing side at least.

but an ls2 powered jeep would be extremely cool. and with all alunimum block it would also keep the weight down.

Any weight saving from a 4.3L is lost when you consider an Aluminum V8.  I read someplace that the LS2 weighs in, dressed, at 443lbs.  GM says the shipping weight of a 4300 is 430lbs and that's not dressed.
