Title: CJ-10a
Post by: dexetr30 on April 22, 2008, 11:55:17 AM
I was out on my mountain bike today and noticed these on a loading dock behind a bakery, along the railroad tracks I was riding on. Pretty sweet.

Click the thumbs.

Those are still pretty cool.  I'd love the body off one.  Then I could chop my YJ into a Pickup.

I had one. Neat vehicles for what they are, 3.3l Nissan diesel (same what was in Scouts), 727 auto trans, NP198 aluminum chain drive tcase fixed in low gear (there is not collar to shift to high gear), dually rear axle (D70U) with 4.88s and powerlock. The shell is neat and I would have kept mine but I had problems licensing it in my state of Kansas. The VIN is for pulling airplanes at slow speeds and thus the state stood by it for title offroad only. I did swap in a D300 and was capable of driving it on the highway at max 58mph, but that still didn't change their mind.

I did sell mine off.

I remember reading your thread on your CJ-10a. Must have been a sad day when you had to let it go. I went by this place again today and they have not moved. I'm wondering what the owner has in mind for them. They are both in good shape from what I can see.
