Title: newbie seeking advice

i have a 98 wrangler that is everyday driven and would like to increase the acceleration. i take it off road everynow and then and occaisionly into some mud. if im being performance parts for the engine, would i concentrate on horsepower or torque more?

Best upgrade by far would be gears.  THey aren't the cheapest rt but the only way to improve both on and off road performance.  Most of the other add ons, ie intake, 4.0tb, tb spacer will improve you torque band but will not yeild very noticable results
