Time for some rust repair on the kids truck. Not trying to do anything fancy, but I don't want it to rot out either.

Looking better - if you stand a few feet away ;) The paint on the bed will almost certainly start rusting off again soon.

Looks good. It's a neverending battle against rust.

For the bed do a hunt out west somewhere and find one with little to no rust and few or no dents. Got to love living in the Southwest you can actually take things of without a torch. Sheetmetal lasts a long time here in this neck of the woods, wpuld make you a nice family vacation, just not a cheap one with gas prices these days

It's only going to be around for another year, so I'm not putting much money into it. I'm just trying to keep it from decomposing and looking decent enough to be in the driveway ;) When he graduates, he gets my current daily driver for college.

Pictures lie, it's not a very good job and it's continuing to rust under all that herculiner. But for now it's good enough.
And as done as it's going to get today. We got a set of uncut front fenders and flares from the u-pull which will be done as time allows, and he's talking about doing some art work on the bed sides.

The car that he's really looking forward to is in front of it - which is cool because I'm looking forward to going back to a full sized pickup
