Title: Cold air intake loss power

put a cheapo cold air intake of ebay and it sounds like a ricer which i exspected but seems like i loss power up hills and stuff i have a electric fan and a 4.0 thottle body....

Most CIA's increase the CFM at the cost of PSI.  Swap back and then see if you regain the torque.

swaped back and got the power back ......so anyone want a cai??? also i seen alot of snorkels home made on here but i was wondering if anyone knows a site that goes into more detail with the how to and where to put the evap can??

Most just leave the Evap where it is.  If you want a DIY, then the best place to check is to do a search on google for land rovers.  It's not going to be an exact guide but they do make some nice looking custom ones.

I've seen some really ugly ones made by Jeepers...

thanks i will post some pics when i start....we went to harlan ky and got into some deep water (befor the CAI of course) so i figured i would just go that route

Keep in mind that the snorkel is only the tip of the iceberg.  If you actually want to be able to ford water that deep, you need to do a A LOT more.
