hey, i'm new to all this and i just got a 4.0L throttle body for my 97 2.5L tj and was curious as to which air intake i need to get for it now. any response is greatly appreciated, thanks,
dustin

What TB you use has no bearing on what intake you use. The real issue is the location of the TB. Because the 4.0L is longer the TB is moved forward more. So you want a 2.5L kit.

i put a 4.0 throttle body on mine and used the stock intake but then bought a CAI and loss power and it was for a 4.0 also the tube covered the oil cap

thanks for the imput

would i lose power with the 2.5l cai as well?

Like I mentioned in his thread, it really depends on what you want. There is no free lunch so to speak. Most CAI's increase the volume but at the cost of a loss of velocity. This changes the powerband a bit.
If you want more top-end horsepower then you do it at the expense of low-end torque. You've got to play around with it and see if that's what you really want. Same thing goes for the exhaust...
