still a bit pricey. I think the Terra high steer setup is about 500 bucks

The terra setup only raises the draglink up.
This is a nice setup by a local guy - ORO. Does not raise the tierod up as high, but gives you the advantage of having a separate drag link and tierod.

The JB4x4 bracket would also be a good choice and much cheaper. See JJ's Heep in the Member's Projects area.

That thing scares me a little bit. I don't like the idea of drilling and tapping a D30 knuckle, which is not the strongest thing in the first place.

This is the one I like the most but a bit more expensive than the JB4x4 bracket. It uses a bolt through the tie bar end hole which does seem to be a stronger way to attach.

I've seen the Rocky Road kit in person and seems to be pretty good.
The DownEast kit is likely so expensive due to the replacement knuckles.

Especially since the down east kit looks like it is using factory Grand Cherokee knuckles, 1 for a left hand drive and one for a right hand drive. The unit bearing spacers back up this theory ;)

I think this is a good idea that is too expensive for me... But I like the setup. I was also looking at the ROcky Road one when I was thinking about the SOA setup, and it also seemed like a good option. But for now, I'll just install the new 1-ton setup (to take care of all the noises I am currently having and the messed up boots), and call it good.

Why do they require using calipers from a 1990 Chevy S-10 4WD? Could they be Chevy knuckles?

Grands use two-pot calipers which are different. IIRC, the brakes disc's are larger as well. As well as the slight differences in the hubs which is why they shim them. If you're going to go with ZJ stuff, you might as well upgrade the brakes while your at it.

I thought about that before I did mine but I couldn't find anyone that had an issue. Before the summer is up it will get welded as a precaution anyway.
