Title: Need Jeep/Drivers for Red Cross Disaster Response Madison, WI
Post by: Jesse-James on June 13, 2008, 10:04:58 PM

I've volunteered to support the Red Cross with Disaster Relief efforts in Wisconsin.

The Volunteer Coordinator is looking for additional jeeps/drivers. The Red Cross needs jeepers willing to volunteer to drive disaster recovery teams out to various sites to estimate the damage from the recent storms/floods.

All you need is a Jeep and a resume of knowin' how to drive it. They're not looking for Jeeps on stock tires, a minimum of 31s on any jeep is probably best, and mud-terrains are a very good idea.

The Red Cross will pay for the gas.

Due to the extensive damage and flooding these trips will involve some water fording and definitely four wheel drive to get to some of these homes and areas.

They need four drivers/Jeeps in the Madison, Wisconsin area that can pick up a disaster response team on the West Side of Madison and travel to the sites.

Please contact: gmackler@gmail.com

Drive your Jeep and do some good.

For those not near Madison, WI contact your local red cross to see if your Jeep can help out in your area.

I'll be up there 2 days next week, giving up one wheeling trip this summer to use my vacation for a better cause.
