i think a little is ok but too much and they look like junk... 3 inch is too much i think with 1inch being preferable and 2 inches the max....  seeing mass amounts of frame and space between it and the body doesn't look good to me... they are mainly just good for fitting bigger tires.

Myself, I would never go more than 1"

1.25" for me.  I know some guy's running 2" but then he's also running 39's and has the cage built into the frame.  The one think I hate is that the shifters sink into the floor...

I'd only go more than 1 inch if it meant losing the shovel they call a transfer case/transmission support.  Tummy tuck....

how does a body lift effect the driveshaft angles? Wouldn't a 1" (or more) body lift to go with a 3" suspension lift require the SYE. Am I wrong?

Doing a body lift wont raise any of your driveline, so if you had no problems with a previous lift, the angle wont change, the only somewhat related thing a BL can do to the driveline, is move the rad & shroud up relative to the engine fan.
