Title: Freeze plug

My 97 TJ leaks coolant.

It is the rear freeze plug behind the cylinder head. My cousin wants to take the motor out to reach it, but is there a easier way then taking the engine out?

It would be maybe as much work or a lil less, but pull just the head off.
