ok so i was thinking i would just keep my 2in BB instead of buying a 3.5in susp. and the reason for that is my current lack of funds...so i was thinkin if i kept the BB and got a 1.25 BL i could run my 33x10.5s pretty well, considering my wheels have extreme offset. what do u all think about this? should i go 1.25BL or just go to 2in to be safe any ideas would be great...
here is a pic of what mine would look like with that setup except for the 4.0L sticker on the side

I don't know how high your 2" spacers actually are, but I've been throwing around a similar idea, except that I have the 2" OME springs. The way I figure it, 33" is just a 1" difference in radius from 31"! My tires do rub up against the inside of the fenders at extreme flexes, but that's nothing some bump stops won't fix, which you should already have with the BB!
-
If you want to go real cheap and not have to put in a body lift, try finding some stock rubicon coils. They are stiffer so they give you a bit of lift even though they start out the same height as TJ coils. There's a chart somewhere on the web that shows the different coils they use on TJ/Rubicons.

It can be done but it looks stupid (wheels cramed into the wheel wells). I wouldn't waste your money, just save up and get a 4" suspension lift.
-
Here's a side shot of my TJ on 33's 4" suspension 1" BL. Enough room for a more true 33 (interco) soon! A lot of it is personal preference but I just like space in the wheel wells.

Pic didn't go, one more try!

i dont think it will look all that stupid i like the look of the one in the link ;) thats just my opinon and i dont do any hardcore offroad so i think that this is the setup i wanna run but thanks for the imput

I like the pic in the link as well.....I thought my Jeep looked like it was on rollerskates when it was on 31's and only a 3" lift.
With my 4" lift and flat fenders I have plenty of room for my 35's and even plan on going to 37's when these run out.

When I got my tj I installed a 1.75" coil spacer lift. Later I installed a set of 6 cylinder tj springs which gave me another .75". My total lift was right at 2.5". For daily driving dutys I run 31 a/ts mainly for better gas mileage, but I also have a set of 32 inch m/ts that clear very well even at full flex and I borrowed a buddies 33 inch a/ts just to see if they would fit and they looked pretty good, there was a little rubbing at full flex but if you are just wanting them for street use I think 33s would work pretty well with a 2 inch bb and 1 inch bl.

Moz your jeep is so clean lol it looks amazing though
i also like the look of the bigger tire and right now with my 31 and 2in i think it looks rollerskate...ish lol
so i think with the 1.25BL and maybe some 4.0L springs i should be good with the 33's :thumb:
-
i like the 6cyl spring idea i will prolly just put them up front to level the thing? (is that a good idea)
and with those 33's were they 12.50 or 10.50?
-
12.50

I'd run the 2"BB... Oh wait... I'm running that now!!!
If you want to go bigger but cheaper you can get a 3" lift, ZJ front coils and Crown Vic rear coils... All you need new is a track bar relocation bracket...
-
If all you have is mud holes that set up will work. Around here you would be rubbing a lot. A decent 4" lift doesn't just lift your Jeep but provides proper clearance and upgraded parts. My Jeep barly doesn't rub at FULL flex and it is properly lifted for 33's. I guess the 1.25 BL will help but 33's with a 2" BB WILL rub. Purely looks then you'll be fine.

I dont think mine looks like its on roller skates even though it is currently running on 31's with a 4 inch lift... I am planning to moving to 33's, but only after the 31's wear out...

It's not even close!!! First of all, that roller skate is Black, and my Jeep is green. Also, the skate has bluish green wheels, and mine are metalic. And the skate does not habe lights at the windshield frame!

Sorry......I forgot the.... :roflol:

Don't sweat it, looks fine. The urge to put the biggest tire possible is a form of "little mans disease" not everyone is infected :blbl:

That reminds me of my favorite cartoon....(borrowed from the joke thread).
