Title: Winch Motor?

Hello all I am new to the site.  This one of the best forums I've seen. Ok my qestion i where can i find (if any) a new motor for my winch. Its a ceap one that came with the jeep. I think it came from habor freight.  I also think it is a 8000 lb.  I blow the motor out trying to pull out a stock XJ.  The funny thing is the guy got stock and a full size silverrodeo got stuck trying to pull him out,  and then a full size RAM got stuck trying to pull him out. Then me and my little jeep come along a drive right through where they are and never even hesitated. :ass:  HaHA I love my jeep.  Anyways I don't want to spend a whole lot of money to buy a whole new winch so if any one can help it would be great.

Check with a local alternator/starter shop that rebuilds electric motors.  Yours is likely an import motor so good luck finding anything.

Harbor Freight offers a good 'no questions asked' warranty, but you have to pay extra for it.

You can find them on ebay for about 80$ - 100$.

Just search for winch motor :thumb:

I replaced the motor of my Warn 8274 which was broken after second use with them   :thumb:
