my uncle has a tire shop said he could hook me up with 33x10.50 bfg a/t for about 600 mounted balanced
are those good tires?
good price?
if not what should i get?

Well, tirerack.com has them for $142 each. That's $568 and $32 to get them balanced. It looks like he might just be cutting you a deal on the mounting and balancing.

Must not be your favorite uncle. Thats ok but not great. I had 5 of the exact tire put on for $600 a few years back.

Tell your uncle thanks but no thanks! I got my 31x10.50 BFG AT's for $80 a piece installed from america's tire's! they wanted $118 a piece not installed, you have to haggle with them! Shop around!

Arent treadwrights retreads? You cannot compare a retread with a new tire's price...

the 285/75/R16 is a 33X10.5
They don't have a metric for the 15" rim for that size... :brick:

Arent treadwrights retreads? You cannot compare a retread with a new tire's price...
I also would never run a retread if you plan on airing way down.
