Title: Backspacing question
Post by: crtjse on August 11, 2008, 10:38:35 AM
I am planning on getting a 2.25" BB with 32X11.15 BFG AT's on pro comp series 97 15x8's on my 04 TJ SE. I was wondering whats the maximum backspacing i could get without any rubbing? I was planning on going with 3.75, but from what ive heard, the wheels would stick out too far and look bad.

I'd go with something in the 4.75"-4.25" range.  You may still need to shim the steering stops but you won't miss the difference. 3.75" is the norm for those running 35's and up.

The steering stops are what set your steering limits.

Adding shims/washers to adjust the stops.  http://4bangerjp.com/forums/index.php?topic=2697.0
