I need to know the quickest way to repair/fix my fuel line. It's leakin right after the fuel filter. I really only have this weekend to get to it, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Most likely the rubber elbow. I just ended up replacing it with a high pressure fuel line hose. Mine is sorta kinked but not enough to obstruct flow. I've had it this way for years. I think it was a few bucks for the straight hose.

Well I got my buddy to help fix it and it was a B*tch! First the bracket or plate (whatever you want to call it) had bolts that were both covered in underspray and rust, took a good few hours to get it. Then come to find out the rubber hoses and the fuel filter had small leaks, plus the first 6" of line was cracked. Ended up takin out a foots worth. But yeah what a pain in our @$$E$!

my 95 is leaking from the small elbow that connects to the fuel filter. i just replaced it about 2 years ago and it is all dry rotted and cracked again!!! Very annoying. Does anyone know where i can find this elbow besides the dealer (they want $32!!) or the diameter of the elbow so that i can replace it with the high pressure fuel line like Jeffy did?
thanks

I used a section of standard High pressure fuel line from the parts store. It was straight tubing that I sort of kinked a bit to fit. It was a cheap fix and was supposed to be temp but I've never had any issues with it.

When you replace the rubber hose on the gas line, make sure it is rated for use as fuel line. It also helps to wet it thoroughly with Armor All or whatever protective spray you prefer. When ever you are under the Jeep to lube the U-joints, or change oil, spray it again. You don't have to take off the fuel filter skid plate; just spray generously over the edge. You should clean out most of the mud and dirt first... Those hoses will last a long time with a little care.

wish i had known that the last time i replaced it. i cant believe it has dry rotted again already. i was thinking of using some dielectic grease to rub all over it to protect it. ill make sure to regularly spray some protectant over it this time. thanks for the replies.

I would forgo the Armoral. Buy some quality fuel line. The better stuff is jacketed and won't dryrot.

yeah i would've thought that the dealer supplied elbow i bought last time wouldve been high quality. maybe i got one that was old stock that had been sitting around awhile. im not wasting my time and money on them this time. this will also be a good time to install the bosch design iii 19# injectors since ill have the fuel pressure bled off. im gonna go ahead and replace the fuel filter too.

IIRC, I paid $4 and got enough hose to do 3-4 of them.
