Title: Testing the lockers in the aftermath of a hurricane?
Post by: jfrabat on September 04, 2008, 06:00:40 PM
Well, it seems the inevitable is about to happen; Miami seems set to be hit by Hurricane Ike...

So, anyone got any advice on how to get the Jeep ready for the aftermath?  I guess I will be driving around in flooded areas, as Miami tends to get flooded after hurricanes...

My advice, you won't need them.  I was down there on business during one of the really bad floods, there was a foot of water on all the roads.  The roads are so flat that the toyota rental car I had did just fine.

On a more serious note, my folks are in Naples so hopefully it doesn't swing over and hit them.

According to the CNN forecast, it will go through florida (alla Rita)...  So it may hit them.  But at this point in time, it is just a guessing game!

My parents are up in Palm Coast...just north of Daytona.

They took off a couple of weeks ago when the last one came through....good excuse to go up and visit my brother in D.C. and see their new grandson.
