Hey Folks got a question hoping some one can answer quickly her goes i'm putting a BB in my 97 tj 4cyl and the coils being 11 years old and i asume saged out , would i benifit from putting 04 sahara coils in it if i even can where it's a 6cyl ? one other question would sahara coils be bigger or just more heavy duty because of the 6cyl engine? thanks in advance for any help terry..

I put 6 cyl. coils on my wife's 97 4 cyl., they gave it about .75" of lift.

Yes, the coils from the Sahara will give you a little lift. Its because the springs are stiffer to account for the extra weight of the six cylinder. I've known guys who used it to even up the Jeep after a winch install. I am not too sure if the rear springs are different, but I am sure Jeffy does...

You know I would maybe look for some springs that are off of a rubicon. Don't those give you more lift? TJ guys?

I would go for the other coils for the simple fact they're newer.
Or consider adding a second OEM coil isolator to the front budget boost to level the front out.

I added Rubicon springs and shocks on all 4 wheels. I got about 2"s (o.e. springs had sagged) of lift and the ride is definitely stiffer. When the Rubi springs we compared side by side with the 4 banger springs I noticed no difference in height. The Rubi springs are definitely made stiffer.
