Title: Hi-Jack mounting?
Post by: smashcoast on December 03, 2008, 08:35:14 PM
I see 2 different types of mounting kits.

http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=7047

http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=13928

do they mount the same? If so i want to be able to lock it.

I'm going to mount it on the inside of my tire swing, so does anyone know which one is better?

I've always liked them mounted between the rear roll bar... there is a thread about it somewhere on the forum...

This one says it will mount on flat surfaces 2.5 x 2.5 inches.

This one does not say. But it looks like you need a flat surface to mount it to.

Which one is better my depend on your swing out. Both are lockable.

The second one rattles a lot.    If you use your jeep as a daily driver I'd recommend putting the hi-lift inside so that it works when you need it.
