Clean out the line that connects the air box to the valve cover.  The brass fitting is called the CCV.  Oil and carbon will narrow the passage and it could increase CC pressure which can cause oil to end up in the air box.

If the engine has a lot of miles then it could be time for a rebuild though.  CC vapors travel through the CCV and back into the intake.  Some oil residue is normal as the fumes condense back into a liquid.  Puddles are not though.

Also clean out the smaller tube from the valve cover to the intake manifold and the brass fitting it is attached to at the valve cover.

The above two lines are the CCV system (Closed Crankcase Ventilation) and are likely the culprit.  Could also be a bad vacuum line or disconnected line.

well i cleared out both those lines. they were not dirty really. If this is a engine rebuild then that would mean there would be blowby and id be burning oil. but my spark plugs are clean......

of course i cant remember when i first noticed this oil happening, but when i did my tb swap i cracked a gasket between the tb and the ais motor...i think. could this cause any sort of vacum that may cause this?

anyother ideas?

thanks guys.
