I was wanting to buy a snowplow for my jeep and was wndering if anyone else has done tis and how does it work? What kind of plow equipment to look into.If A ATV can push snow why could'nt my jeep.

assuming your jeep is a 5spd, the ax-5 isnt the strongest thing ever, plus a jeep is light weight, for a plow you want heavier, but ive never done it so idk for sure. plus it burns up yur clutch assuming your jeep is 5 spd again

Google Snow Sport (agricover.com). They have a simple snow plow that works great on a YJ. A friend has one on his 4cyl YJ and next year I'm going to get one for mine. It is not for heavy crusted snow but works great on power snow or not-too-deep wet snow. All you need is a receiver hitch on the front and are pretty low cost.

If you're looking to do commercial parking lots, sure you want heavier duty. But for a driveway/access road Jeeps are great plows, the short length and turning radius is nice in smaller spots. Just remember that putting a plow on anything rapidly accelerates front end wear. Around here the city park&rec dept employs several TJ's with plows.

I've seen many YJ's and TJ's and even one new Jeep. I don't know what the new 2 door ones with the longer back are called, but theres one of those around here with a plow. It's funny because the Jeeps dont squat nearly as bad as the junk chevys with their independent front suspensions.

Ive seen a yj with a plow and a few tj unlimiteds (2 door long back) with plows on them.

ive seen quite a few-dont know if they were 4bangers-id assume most were 6cyl but as its been mentioned already, they make great plows to zip in and out of driveways and side roads.
