Looks like they are coming out this spring. I wish they did not drop the 37's in a 15 inch wheel :'(
Interesting looking tread pattern. Not sure if I like it. But then again when the current MT/R came out I did not like the pattern. I liked the old directional pattern. But as time passed I liked it more and more.
I wonder what the Kevlar will do to the price CHA-CHING!

I wonder if they did anything about the tread compound. My sons Comanche has a set of Rubicon rims and MTR's on it. The tread has gotten extremely hard. Good for road wear but not real usefull offroad. I've heard of others having this same issue.

The MT/R's I have run in the past did not have that problem. The 35's I ran I bought used and I used them for 3-4 years. My current ones are soft too. When I pull into my driveway they leave tire marks.
I wonder if the cold weather does something to them over time?

the stocker Rubicon mtr's that i have on my jeep leave marks on the driveway and so do the 33x12's that are currently on the Rubicon.... new pattern looks like 2 half's of different tires put together.... but as long as they perform i could care less about looks.

They do look a lot different than the old ones, or any Mud Terrain really... Someone posted about them on JF a few days ago, I'm not sure if I like 'em yet...
I like my current MT/R's, I just wish they had more tread when I bought them :'(
I'll probably end up with an A/T when I get new tires this summer... Probably a set of Cooper ST's :smokes:

I'm not sure I'll be buying those next time. They seem like they're going to be a compromise with it's AT side and MT side tread pattern. The sidewall tread looks a little NITTO-ish. The standard MT/R's have pretty thick sidewalls already. They would have been better off adding Kevlar to the old MTR instead of making compromise for SUV drivers with the dubs.

Looks like a photochop of 3 different tries, from inner sidewall out; Old MT/R, an AT, and a directional MT.

As long as the compound is the same, which it is, they will wear evenly.

I called Discount Tire here in Indianapolis and they guy told me for my truck a 285/75/16 Load Range E they were going to run 280 a tire compared to the old style MT/R for the same size was 232
