Title: Cleaning injectors
Post by: Bikerjr1 on February 08, 2009, 09:36:31 AM
My brother-in-law brought me 5 19# mustang injectors from his dealer, they have been sitting around awhile and need to be cleaned. They were working when pulled.  The question that I have is what is the best thing to soak and clean them with.  Some parts cleaners say not to soak rubber or plastic parts, B12 is one of them.  I thought about Seafoam, the label doesn't say anything about rubber or plastic.  I'm worried about the inside of the injector being gummed up.
thanks,
JR

And the benefit of sending more than 4 injectors, you can use the 4 closely matched injectors for even performance.

Thanks, but I was really looking for some way to clean them myself.

Try NAPA Echlin "pro clean" part #CRB218489. The injectors have to be in the Jeep and running if you use this product.

I'd use Seafoam.  Then you can treat everything.
