Here is a simple check jack the rear wheels up put it on jackstands for the safety consious, make sure its in 2 wheel drive and try tha same routine if it still shakes and stalls its engine related

When you used the snatch strap, did you pull from the front or back?

I'm thinking the problem is in the drivetrain someplace.  You'll have to localize it to the transmission or transfer case or axles.

Easy way to check the transmission is to put the transfer case in Neutral and then shift through the gears.  You'll need to jack it up to check the transfer and axle.

:uhoh:  That's not the proper way to strapping.  It's a good way to break gears.

I'm not sure if a TPS still help.  Id you disconnect your TPS, the engine will not idle until it's warned up.  You would have to stay on the throttle to baby it.  If it was the CPS, the ending wouldn't start and might die all of a sudden.

Not sure on the screw.  Take the good one and measure it.  It could be Metric.
