My Cragar V5's got here but I Don't like the seam on them, does this look normal to anyone? From a distance they look cracked but it's just a shitty job of hiding the welds. I'm debating on sending them back. What do you guys think?

Pretty typical with trailer wheels, and those look just like the ones on my boat trailer. :wall:

If it were me, I would send them back, but just because dont have the finish they should (not because of safety concearns).

Pretty much any steel rim is welded like that, they just didn't grind the weld down very well
-
If you're going to wheel it then it won't matter that much. The only consideration is how they balance.

Anybody that knows me knows that this is not a show truck. Cosmetically I can deal if it's normal.
this is the inside.....

I don't see anything wrong with them.

Purely cosmetic. Has nothing to do with the strengh of the wheel. Infact by not grinding down the weld all the way makes it a bit stonger at the weld joint VS. grinding it flush. Like what has been said as long as they balance they are fine.

Just paint them black and you won't notice a thing :wall:

"come on, everybody's doing it." :koolaid:

Looking at the picture what I find more odd is that the center isn't welded 360 degrees. Not sure I've ever seen that on an automotive wheel, I know my AR767's are welded 360.

I have had a few sets of steel wheels that look just like that never given any problems
