Title: Ironman 4x4 Suspension
Post by: Tsd on April 15, 2009, 10:13:28 AM
Has anyone tried/seen/heard about how the Ironman 4x4 suspension performs? They don't seem to be so popular in the U.S.

Never heard of them.  Looks like they are an AU company.

Today I talked to a guy that has one of those suspensions in one of his Nissan Patrols and he said "...as good as OME but at 1/3 of the price.." . I searched eBay, and a pack of ironman springs for a 2" lift for a TJ cost's 100$, and shocks are about 40$ a pair. If they are as good as OME, sounds like a bargain

The company is around 15 years old so they are still fairly new.  It's parent company has been around for much longer making OEM parts, it seems.  At least that's what they want to tell you.

In the US, you never really hear about them.  Only thing out of AU is ARB, OME, T-Rex, and Man-A-Fre.

What you need to do is get spring rates for each spring.  Also you'll want to find out if they have different ones for I4's and I6's as well as hardtops.  Then compare them with other brands.
