Title: Half-Cab
Post by: hippiejesse on May 02, 2009, 09:36:49 AM
Hey all,
Anyone out there have a half-cab hard top (Or soft for that matter) like the one at gr8tops.com ?
I have just been curious what others think about them.
I have been looking at them, and am considering finding where to pick one up...

Thanks.

I have had a hakf cab for about 2 years. It is made by rampage I believe.
It's noisier that the full factory soft top, but does not leak like the soft top go figure.
I like the look of it and have not ever considered putting the stock top back on.
Like it better that the best top safari piece of crap. To open it up you just unzip the rear window.
The biggest fault with it is to get the top part taut to reduce flapping. with the windows closed it doesn't do it but with the doors of it gets a bit annoying

The only problem I see with a hardtop half cab is that you have to rethink your roll cage as the stock cage won't fit without modifications.

I've thought about going that route since I rarely have rear passengers.

The last few years I ran a Bestop Halftop, liked it for the most part. The screen over the back window collects rain/snow so it's not always usable. The sunrider portion was very nice to have though. Only reason I sold it is the kids are wanting to wheel with me now so I needed a back seat again.
