What back spacing do most of you with 33x12.50 tires run?
I have a 3" lift and am going to be putting 33's on and I think my rims are now at 4.75 and stick out pretty wide with 31x10.50's and I dont want that to wide look.
Will be putting a 1" body lift on also so clearance wont be a problem.

If you don't want the wide look then 4.75" will be prefect. (Stock is 5.5") That's what AEV uses on their wheels. With BS, the lower the inches the more the tire will stick out. That standard is usually 3.75" BS which will put a 12.5" wide tire several inches past teh stock flares.

If you don't mind the tires sticking out and or wider flares, then 3.75" backspacing looks good and makes for good stability on off camber stuff. That is what I run and I like it

I run 3.75 with 10.50 tires and get a very little amount of tire uncovered (with stock flares).
-
So I think mine is 3.75 then with how they stick out.
Hey Art do you have the 6" flares to cover up those tires?
-
Yup sure do. I don;t know what brand but they have taken quite a licking got them 2 years ago from 4 wheel west. I have folded them flat numerous times and they happily pop back. These days I only have them on the back for the time being, I want some cj style round flares made out of aluminum for the back once made then some kind of easy disconnect will be made so I can remove them when I want to get carried away

I have found that 4" backspacing works very well
just my .2cents

I ran stock rims with 33x12.5x15 with 2 inch lift and they rubbed the track bars pretty bad on flat ground. So I went and bought some spacers and they will barely rub. I am running some 285/57/ -16 now on some Nitro rims which have some stupid back spacing and they aren't rubbing.
