Here are the details:

1999 Wrangler Sahara
6 Cylinder(Are they Welcome Here?)  With 48,000 MI
Hard Top and full doors
Otherwise Stock as far as I know.

Any Input?

Asking Price At Dealer= $8,400
Seems low to me (Other identical jeeps, same features etc... with 140,000 mi. going for over $9500

What you think?

You can buy a new one for like $16,900-$17,900 advertised special without any haggling.

Kelly Blue Book lists the Sahara (99) at $9,800, but it does seem a bit steep to me...  To be honest, I bought my wife a Honda Odissey a couple of months ago, and we traded in a Hyundai Sonata.  According to KBB, the trade-in value of the Sonata was $8,400, and the retail price of the odissey was $26,400.  Well, I offered them the Sonata + 10,000 and we closed (out the door) the deal at 12,000 + the Sonata, so I got about $6K under kbb value...  In other words, the economy is down the crapper; now is the time to haggle and not accept the sticker price...

KBB prices don't mean squat with the way the used car market is going.  It's almost as cheap to buy a brand new car as it is to buy a used 2-3 year old one (according to KBB).  I just sold my 99 4-banger for $6000... granted originally the Sahara was quite a bit more at the time it was new.  It's a definitely a buyer's market now,
