I have a 95 YJ. I want to fit 33s as it is my daily driver. I want to keep my center of gravity low as most of my off roading is trails, mud, and fire roads. No real rocks here. I was thinking of a 2.5 inch OME or RE lift and xenon flat panel flares. Does this sound like a workable combination? I have read good reviews of both lift kits on this site; has anyone used both and have a good comparison. Also I am looking at the 4 inch xenon flares. Should I use the TJ or YJ flares to get the most clearance?
I appreciate any direction or advice I can get. Even if it is to go a different direction.

It should work with the TJ flares and some sheetmetal cutting to match the flares' openings.

with a 2.5" lift and some sheet metal cutting, you shoul dbe able to clear 33" tire, which should be enough for firetrails and trails...

OME's lift is one of the best. The 2.5" will clear 32's easily and 33's with some trimming. I would go with TJ flares. Personally I'd go with the Rubicon's flares since they are fairly inexpensive and allow you to cut a lot out of the fenders.

I have tube fenders in front and tj flares in back. 4 inches of sua and even though I have 305/70(metric 33s) I could easily go 35s just cant afford regear at this time.

Someone here (dont remeber who; was it Moz?) posted a pi of someone on their club that runs 35" tires with no lift (just trimming) on a TJ... So 33 is most defenetly possible witha 2.5" lift if you trim enough.

05 tj with 2'' lift. well I think its more of a 1 3/4 and I have 33-12.5 with a set of spacers on factory steelys with no cutting. No rub. Its my DD also. They will rub with some articulation.
