Whenever I hit the breaks hard or accelerate hard there is a pretty safe sounding pop coming from both axles. Its not the gears. anyone had this happen to them. I'm thinking since i have 105k (05 tj) on it that all the bushings need to e replaced. I know they are bad enough where the axles can flex. What do yall think.

sway bar bushings? track bar bushings could be alot of things jack it up and start chercking for play

Replace the bushings and see if it still makes noise

Have you loosened the U-Bolts at all? After I put my axles back on, they start popping (typically when trning at low speeds) after a while and they just need to be retightened back to specs after afew hundred mils...

U-bolts are fine, There is play in sway bar, but its more of a metal sound. I know the bushings are all shot though. I'm kinda hoping it was something else. Another question do yall know where I could get a complete set of drive train bushings. Next question what would the price be for them and how much more would it be for a four or so inch lift. And then what do yall think is the best cheapest axle upgrade. (My heep needs a good transplant) I have a 86 burban with 44's front and rear. I may part that out not sure though. Any Idea how much some one would charge to weld up the suspension pieces. The jeep is used as a truck now, I am going to fix up our ranch truck and drive it as soon as I find a job so the jeep will become a toy with 105k on it. I do not do any heavy off-roading with it yet, I just use it at the hunting lease and minor rock crawling. I would like to slap that a turbo and bigger lift and axles. Any ideas, suggestions, comments. All of this will have to wait until I find a job, I just graduated from college, and let me say this economy rocks.
