I'm trying to figure out how to mount the braided lines for my brakes on my 9"... So far, the only way I've come up with is to use some hefty zip ties and tie it to the top of the axle and route the passenger side over the pumpkin to the tee fitting. I tried mounting the passenger side line like this today and it looks OK, seems like it won't go anywhere and won't be harmed by anything...
I thought about hose clamps, but thought that might look tacky... Any other ways you's guys can think of?

big ole zip ties would be you best bet i think wouldnt look bad either, but id deff keep an eye on them when wheeling and dragging your axle over rocks

First thing that comes to mind is getting some C channel and welding it to the tubes. Or some square or round tube and cut a section out to look like a C.

That was my only thought, dragging the diff tubes on rocks/logs and snapping the zip ties. We've got some thick black zip ties I tried using tonight and they don't look bad. Once the axle is painted this weekend it should look fine.

Both good ideas. But now I'm thinking, maybe I could just get some small, like 1/2" I/D cheap-o tubing to weld on and run the lines through the tubing to protect them? Only tricky part would be running the tubing around or over the diff. My neighbor has a tubing bender so I might just have to look into that.

Cut the tube into 1 inch or so sections. Space them apart I dunno maybe 3-4 inches. Then you can go over the top of the diff with a few pieces.
Yes you run the brake line thru the tube. Just make sure your fittings will go thru. I would cut the tube so looking at it from the side of the tube it's a C. That way it's easier to weld and you can adjust the opening size by cutting more or less out the tube. Make sense?

Another way would be to taxk weld some 1/4 " bolts with their heads down on the axle tubes and you can use some small tube clamps to secure the lines
In other words use the bolts as studs.
It's simple and secure, yet still easy to remove or replace the brake lines

I like the idea of tacking some small bolts to the top of the axle and using clamps. I think that would look the cleanest overall. I'll have to make a run to the hardware store this afternoon and see what I can find.

Good one Art! I had my mind stuck on some sort of tubing. :brick: I like the bolt idea much faster and cleaner looking too.
